These are the group or categories of the university in Holland. Thus, in Netherland, they are two categories of University. The research universities and the universities of applied sciences. They several universities in each category across the country. Thus, the general body of these universities is in support of the Holland government scholarship.
About The Holland Government Scholarship 2020/2021:
Level of Study:
The Holland government scholarship applies to both those who wish to pursue their masters or bachelors programme in any Dutch participating university or tertiary school. Thus, one can either intend studying any of the programmes to be eligible for the scholarship. Hence, intending applicants must have completed one year of his/her undergraduate or graduate degree program.
Scholarship/Study to be taken in (Country):
The scholarship award for the Holland government scholarship is based solely on merit. Hence all the winners of the scholarship should be taken their study in Netherland. The applicants are to check the website and upload the required credentials then the body responsible accessing applicants will later contact the winners.
Only international students are eligible to apply for this scholarship. Students that live in EEA/EU countries are not eligible for the Holland government scholarship.
Benefits of the Scholarship:
- The scholarship is only a grant to be given to the winners.
- The grant is only awarded in the first year of study and does not cover living expenses.
- A total amount of € 5,000 is given to the winners.
Number of Awardees:
The number of persons to be given the scholarship award was not specified.
Thus, to be eligible for the scholarship one must meet the following criteria. Most of the criteria have been elaborated before now;
- To be eligible for the scholarship you must be a student applying for either a full-time bachelor’s or master’s programme at one of the participating Dutch tertiary institutions.
- You must have applied to your desired institution and must have the institution’s requirements.
- You must not have studied in the Netherlands before the application. In other words, you must not have had any degree from an education institution in the Netherlands.

The application portal is now open. Hence, students can now apply for the scholarship for the 2020/2021 academic year. The scholarship deadline is not specified but is going to between 1 February 2020 and 1 May 2020 as stated by the scholarship board. Thus confirm the correct deadline from the scholarship link.
